John Hanna Memorial Parade, South Belfast – 13-09-08

The band travelled over to the annual memorial parade to give our support to this locally held parade in the Sandy Row area. Great weather for the parade and that made a change!

We actually arrived in good time and the parade made its way down the Donegal Road into Sandy Row past the war memorial and into the Dublin Road and then into Donegal Pass where the bands and local battalion laid wreaths at the memorial.

Good feel about this parade today and it would be really good if more bands attended this parade, I can say this now as its been a while since we have done this parade ourselves but I am sure we will be back to support the Hanna family next year.

Bands that I did see today where Fife & Drums from the Shore Road, Newtownards Volunteer Flute, South Belfast Young Conquers, Shankill Star and the Shankill Protestant Boys to name only a few.

So well done to everybody for supporting the Hanna family by attending and your participation in this parade.

For God and Ulster!

East Belfast Protestant Boys Flute Band Chairman
