The band made the short trip to Bangor on a good night for parading, we arrived in good time and seen the Gertrude Star coming into the finishing point as did the recently reformed Greyabbey Hardcore, great to see them on parade again.
I did notice that the crowds weren’t that great for a parade in Bangor, the size of the town and the crowds low in numbers, gladly I don’t think that the band turned out in good numbers either with only around 20 showing up tonight.
Bangor is a good town to parade in with tall buildings help to increase the volume, Clogher tonight where playing very well as did Pride of the Shore so it made it to be an good parade near the end of this long marching season.
Our own band tonight walked with 17 side drummers, flute corps of 24 and we played as good as it gets; flutes where on fire and it was one of those nights where everything went well.
The judges awarded us with most of the prizes with our solid display; well done to the Robert Graham Memorial band and all the other bands on parade tonight.
