The bands Colour Party attended this parade as the main band was unable to.
The parade was leg by the Bessbrooke True Blues, who were very well turned out.
It was great to see the Camelon Loyalists over from Scotland and the Everton Road
band from England.
Bands from Portadown and Co Armagh were out in force tonight. Well up in numbers
which is great to see. I noticed alot of young ones swelled the ranks of the
Craigavon Protestant Boys who were also in good tune passing me.
The weather tonight was warm and the crowds watching seemed to be only around
the centre of town, its that time of year. It was great to see bands travelleing
great distances to attend. Silver Plains, Sons of William Cookstown, Pride of Whitehill
and Castlederg also up tonight. The mighty Shankill Protestant Boys out in large numbers tonight, the new
uniform certainly lifts the band.
I noticed tonight that alot of bands only had colour partys in attendence. Ourselves,
South Belfast Young Conquerors and the Newtownards Volunteer flute to name a few, its that time of year.
Big thanks to the Monkstown YCV for letting our colour party parade with them, all enjoyed the night.
The big man himself would have been proud of the turnout tonight. It doesnt have to be the biggest to be the best.
Well done to everyone involved in making the parade a success.
Lest we forget
