Last parade of the year for us and it turned out to be a really good night.
The host band must take alot of praise, they are a young band and it was great
to see forty bands parading around the small village.
Good crowds, good bands and good route. What else could you ask for? The village itself
is centred around crossroads and to get such a first class route out of it was brilliant.
Bands like Downshire, KVFB, South Belfast Young Conquerors, NVF and Clogher Protestant Boys reflects
how hard the wee band has worked and how far they have travelled.
Tonight we were awarded:
2nd Style & app
3rd Blood & thunder
Tonight our own band paraded with 6 of a colour party, 12 drummers, 2 bass drummers, 25 flautists and marshals.
Not bad for an end of season parade after a long season. We played ok. We went out to enjoy ourselves tonight and
we did just that. This season has flew in and overall it has been a good one for all marching bands.
Plans are in place already for next year which is good to see. The standard of bands can only get higher
if we all make the effort. Well done to my own band and well done to everyone who attended tonight.
It was a good parade to end the season. Well done to the Tigers.
