Clogher Protestant Boys Parade - 7/08/10
The band made the trip to Warringstown on a good warm night.
A total of 68 bands took park in the parade. The village was packed in places
as bands made their way up and down the Village. Downshire Guiding Star, Pride of the
Maine, Pride of the Hill Rathfriland, Drumderg Loyalists, Kilcluney Volunteers,
Portadown Defenders, UVF Regimental band, Fifes and Drums, Shankill star along with
many more out in force tonight. The parade was very well marshalled.
The blow out
part of the route is always a talking point and im sure many bands done their best to
take the bragging rights home with them.

Tonight we were awarded:
1st Bass drummer
1st B&T Drum corp
1st Blood and Thunder
1st Best Overall
Tonight out own band paraded with 5 of a colour party, 2 drum majors, 16 drummers, 3 bass
drummers, 26 flautists and marshalls. I thought we started off on fire, then the
bass drum skin busted and we seemed under par for a while after. The blow out
section picked it up again with our bass drummers on the money. The band captain
took a brave decision tonight calling 3 new tunes, 2 while passing other bands. We done
very well with the flutes being solid throughout. One of the tunes named Willie McBride will be
a smasher in weeks to come.
Well done Clogher Protestant Boys.
