The bands colour party travelled to Antrim to take part in the Memorial Parade for Vol Denver Smith. Around 15 bands and mixed colour partys attended on a sunny but cold Saturday afternoon.
The pick of the bunch for me today were the City of Belfast Fifes and Drums and the Shankill star. Both bands played superb when i watched them paradeing in at the end of the route. It was also brilliant to see the Pride of the Govan over from Scotland.
The Tamlaghtmore Tigers finished up with a tune i recognised from the Titanic film called "Nearer My God", which is a real beutiful tune to listen to.
A big thank you must go to the Monkstown YCV for letting our Colour Party accompany them at the parade.
Lest we forget
