For the second time in a matter of weeks we headed to Dromore. Good weather
prevailed and 40 bands turned up to support the host band. Around the square
as always good crowds out to support the bands on parade. The best part of the
route is the back road where most bands try new tunes.
The Mourne Young Defenders were in good tune tonight as were Drumderg Loyalists.
A new band on show tonight called the Lisburn Protestant Boys. Its the first time
ive seen them and have to say a big well done on the progress they have made
in such a short period of time. Clogher Protestant Boys, Pride of the Hill,
Kilcluney and the vastly improved Downshire Guiding Star all going well.
The Ulster Grenadiers and the Skeogh FB both playing to a really high standard.
It was good to see the Inch band in a new uniform tonight which made a huge difference,
well done lads.
Very quiet in Dromore tonight, nothing really exciting to report. Maybe a bit more
relaxed than recent weeks but a good parade all the same. I am sure as the season
gets closer to the 12th bands will start to pull better turnouts with crowds also
improving.
Below are a selection of photographs of the band in action.
