The Rathcoole Protestant Boys invited us to play for them and i am glad we did.
They are a good bunch of lads in a newly formed band. Not yet on the road so anything
we can do to help achieve this we will.
The Orange Hall in East Belfast is a good big hall. The only downside being the
echo. Ourselves, Monkstown YCV and the Kilcluney Volunteers all attended tonight.
Our own band played with 6 drummers, 2 bass drummers and 12 flautists. Even with smaller
numbers i thought the echo while playing was wild. Tonight our long standing bass
drummer Chris snr played his last performance with us for a while as he heads of
for a tour of duty with the Royal Irish. The band would like to wish him well and safe
home soon. It was a great send of.
Unfortunatley i cannot report on the other 2 bands as i headed home. Im sure both bands
done well.
Good luck to the Rathcoole Protestant Boys from the EBPB.
